A senior executive with a broad based career over a 40 year period in Consulting Engineering, Project Management and Construction Administration as well as Corporate Management within a large $300 million Canadian employee owned firm. A member of the executive management team with firm wide responsibilities for development and project management of the firm’s major complex project assignments. Participated in driving the strategic growth of the consulting engineering firm through organic growth and acquisition.  Identified strategic partners and acquisition targets and negotiated several key mergers.  

 

A recognized Professional in the area of strategic development and program/project management of large-scale infrastructure projects ranging from Transit Facilities, Airports, Bridges and Highways, Power Generation Facilities, Exhibition Facilities, and Government Buildings. This includes predesign feasibility assessment, development and execution of strategic project delivery models, leading preliminary and detailed design activities, construction administration and oversight of commissioning and activation.

Responsible for management of the pursuit and execution of major infrastructure projects ranging in capital cost from $100 million to over $3 billion. Extensive experience participating on Private Sector teams as well as representing Public Sector Owners. Roles included Design Project Manager, Owner Engineer, Independent Engineer, Independent Certifier as well as Project Advisor. Proven ability to collaboratively engage all stakeholders to plan and successfully execute strategic business plans and project development initiatives.

Built and maintains a strategic business network that extends across the country and into the United States. This network includes Public and Private Sector contacts in the Engineering, Architecture, Construction and Development markets as well as financiers associated with infrastructure investment and those in the political realm. This enables a detailed and clear understanding of the current design and construction environment.
